‘On August 12, 2026, Dr. Jonathan S. Reiner, Professor of Medicine at The George Washington University, wrote a guest essay in the New York Times entitled, “I Was Dick Cheney’s Cardiologist. Trump Has Not Looked Well, and We Should Know Why.” In it he posed a list of questions about President Donald Trump’s medical condition, pointing out unanswered cardiovascular and cognitive concerns, and the absence of any explanation of why he needed an historically unprecedented number of 22 physicians for his May exam. Given that the president has sole command over our nuclear arsenal, Reiner’s essay was timely and important. The White House thought otherwise. A spokesperson, Davis R. Ingle, called the doctor “an ass-hat” who was “a disgrace to the medical profession.”…’
