  1. My opinion is that NPR committed suicide when it began accepting money from the corporations that own the rest of the American media. It immediately became another cheerleader for big business and lost whatever edge it once had. Anyone who doubts this should track down and listen to Amy Goodman’s Democracy Now for a reminder of what NPR once did.

    Clearly the conservatives who continue to assault it (and its TV equivalent, PBS) haven’t been listening and don’t realize they are killing one of their own.
