Allan Bloom once wrote that after people mounted and won the free speech movement at UC Berkley, they had nothing to say. Talk about much ado about nothing. Red carpet drivel is meaningless. The ability of the average American for critical thinking skills is very low on a 10 point scale. What fascinates them is generally vapid and unsubstantial. How else can we explain the incredible success of FOX News ( news, really?)?
