So true. I can hardly believe the way the mass-media hypnosis machine has convinced everyone that it’s all Obama’s fault when I clearly remember the crash getting underway 6 months before Bush left office as a direct result of his elimination of regulation and oversight.
I also have trouble understanding the way a gang of rich conservatives has managed to convince the average guy that the problem is social security (which isn’t even part of the actual budget since it is paid for by the trust fund made up of the contributions we, our parents, and our grandparents have been making for the last 70 years) and other types of spending that benefit the people when most of the federal budget goes to funding war and corporate giveaways, neither of which the Republicans have any intention of dialing back. First up on their agenda: extending the Bush tax cuts for the rich that don’t in any way benefit the average person.
