For Hindus and Vegetarians, Surprise in McDonald’s Fries. A lawsuit claims MacDonald’s deliberately misled consumers in boldly proclaiming a switch to cooking its fries in “100% vegetable oil”. It’s true, but the fries are apparently seasoned with beef fat before leaving the factory. New York Times IMHO, it serves anyone right for believing anything MacDonald’s tells them.
