I don’t know if this is true in your state, but in Massachusetts, if it walks like a pharmacist and talks like a pharmacist, and wears a white coat and performs many of the same functions as a pharmacist, it’s not necessarily a pharmacist and, thus, not necessarily regulated by the state. “Pharamacy technicians” have little required training beyond a high school degree and, by some accounts, are responsible for half of all prescription errors.
