The key is turned, the motor roars to life then settles down to a softly rumbling idle. We look out window at the world and smile. I slide down in the seat, close my eyes and remember those I loved, and those that loved me. I relive my happier moments, once again with those who brought me joy. I revisit my regrets and tally up the mistakes I've made. I beg forgiveness for those I've wronged. I imagine how things could have gone had I done things I should have and in some cases shouldn't have. My brain cries out to the few who failed because of my faults and neglect. I see no reason to go on which I have come to this. The exhaust billowing out the green hose has a earthy smell and is take quite longer than I suspected. I open my eyes and look at my seatmate. They slightly shift their position so we'll both still here. I notice a light in the dash, it says 'Check Engine'. My butt starts to ache from the position I'm in so I sit upright again. My seatmate turns and looks at me and also sits upright. We've been here thirty-five minutes. A man is walking to the car and peering at the hose in the window. He taps on the window so I roll it down. He looks around and says, "Nice Prius, Dude" and walks off.
