I’m finding the small, narrow, gray print very hard to read on the black background.

I liked the dark background, perhaps the gray print could be whitened and sized up a bit.

I like the yellow on black myself, but if you go up a point or two in size, say to 12, then the white/grey would be easier to read. A brighter white might be too harsh.
